all right this cd came fast.this cd is the best slipknot cd ever.i listened to all the slipknot cds and i say this one is the best.the crazy masked that they use in this are pretty good i motley like is Corey Tyler's(the zombie with dreadlocks).i loved people = s***,my plague, everything ends, etc.they were all good because Corey Tyler sings them.
This Is One Of Slipknot's Best Albums.Better Than Their Debut. Some Of My Favorite Songs AreI Am Hated,People=S***,Skin Ticket,Left BehindI'm Not Sure If It's Their Best,Its At Least One Of Their BestIT's Worth Buying Even Though It's Not Real CheapTheir Are Two Covers You Can Get There Is A: Red Cover & White/Gray Cover I Think That There Were More Copys Of The Red Cover Than White
I must be careful about how I educate the unfortunate anger addicts who think this band and disc are anything better than mediocre. So you remember that, you men among men, as you pump your fists in the air and pump whatever else this music tells you to. AC/DC kicks its ass. So I'll be gentle with you tender, delicate kittens. Get it. OK. The rage-aholics are too desperate to shout down any opposition or difference of opinion. This disc bites.
This band and disc are not even as good as the worst crap grunted out by Judas Priest or Iron Maiden, who at least realized how odd it is to have a room full of sweating, writhing young males all adoring them. Rob Halford certainly appreciated it, again and again. That's a homoerotic joke. You confused, disturbed sex farts are just so cute.
Iowa got me into death metal, I know Iowa isn't death metal, but this album is very intense. I wish Slipknot would go back into the studio, and make another Iowa which I think will never happen again.
I have listened to all of their albums again, and again over the years. Iowa is my favorite album by Slipknot, and is in my top favorite five albums of all time.
I have three copies of Iowa, since i was 13 years old, that was five years ago. I also have three copies of Slipknot's self titled album.
When I first started to listen to Slipknot back in August 2004, I started out with Vol 3 The Subliminal Verses, a neighbor of mine at the time let me borrow the album for about two weeks, and when they wanted it back I didn't want to, but I did, a few days later I bought my own copy and now I have the regular version released in 2004, and the special edition with two discs in 2005. Ever since then I have been following them closely.
They should at lest re release Iowa in 2011 when it's been 10 years since the album was released. I hope Slipknot is around for many years to come, because I personally think they are one of the best bands in metal.
Ironic, but that's as far as I'll go. Great technical work on the drums by Joey, especially on Disasterpiece which is in my opinion the best song on the album.
I felt stupid because I already did it once. I previously had a review on here that ended up going awry, I got mad half way thru it and started ranting on All Hope Is Gone and how bad it sux.
It's darker than the first, I wouldn't say heavier or angrier but definitley darker. So here's a better one (not to satisfy the poser that voted my review unhelpful mind you).
This album is fu**ing amazing. Corey's last stand as an amazing vocalist, and the last album Clown had hardly anything to do with.
Overall, if you like the 1st album then get this one.
